Advisory Program

The 15-minute morning advisory session at Crusoe College is centred around a Berry Street Morning Circle as a consistent and predictable routine. This provides a structured, supportive start to the school day, fostering a sense of safety and connection among students.

This routine, built on predictable patterns, helps students transition from home to school and sets a positive tone for the day.

By focusing on mindfulness, emotional regulation, and relationship-building activities, Morning Circles help students develop social-emotional skills, promote a sense of belonging, and enhance their overall well-being. Regular participation in these circles allows students to feel heard and valued, strengthening their sense of community while improving engagement and focus throughout the day.
