Camps
Crusoe College provides students with a wide range of opportunities to be involved in college camps.
All students are encouraged to participate, however it is not compulsory.
Year 7 Camp
The Year 7 Camp is held at the start of the college year and is a fantastic opportunity for students to meet with their teachers and make new friends. The camp will be run at Camp Billabong near Echuca, and a wide variety of adventure activities are available for the students to participate in. These include: high ropes course; giant swing; flying fox; archery; geo-caching; yabbying; canoeing and mountain biking. As well as during the day, students engage in great evening activities including a movie night and a “Minute to Win It” style competition. It is a great camp to begin their education at Crusoe College.
Year 8 Camp
The Year 8 Camp is nestled amongst the picturesque Howqua Valley in the high country near Mansfield. It is a highly successful camp enjoyed by all Bendigo schools, one that fosters teamwork and leadership skills. Dubbed “Camp Survivor” Camp Howqua offers many challenging team building activities as well as horse riding, archery, giant waterslide (The Wedginator!), rafting, flying fox, high ropes and a Tough Mudder course. Night activities include a disco coordinated by the students, nature walks and Survivor challenge activities. The camp is open exclusively to Crusoe and provides private ensuited cabins with well-equipped indoor recreational facilities and sportsgrounds. Camp Howqua is a fantastic opportunity for our Year 8’s to try new adventures, challenge themselves and develop new friendships.
Year 9 Camp
Year 9 students have the opportunity to travel to Melbourne for an Urban Camp Experience. Students visit a range of venues whilst learning how to get around Melbourne on foot and by public transport. A highlight of the camp is a visit to the Paliment House to see the State Governtment in action.
Year 10 Camp
Phillip Island
Year 10 students can participate in a three day camp to Philip Island. Activities on the Island will include Churchill Island, climbing wall, penguin parade, laser tag, bowling, watching pelican feeding, mini golf, high ropes course, maze, frisbee golf, coastal walk, surfing and more. The accommodation is based at The Island and it is tip top with space to chill out, activities and great food. This camp is a great way to enjoy the friendship of other year 10 students in their last year at Crusoe College
